Coloring Challenge!

Hi There!

We got a snow day off from school today. Whoo hooo! We've done our shoveling for now. That meant I had some free time today to actually participate in The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. This is the 4th challenge that Kathy has hosted. My friend, Barb, participates faithfully and I always look forward to her posts about what she is coloring. Makes me happy! I know there is no stress involved and if you can only color 5 minutes, that is good enough. But somehow I feel bad if I only do a couple of minutes.

I don't have a card, but I just finished coloring a Whimsie Doodles image called Heart Strings. I took a quick picture for you. I added a bunch of Stickles so I can't do anything with this until it dries. I was inspired by this card here.

That's it from me for now.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a good day!
Hugs,

This is so sweet Jeanne. Your coloring looks fabulous and I love how the red hearts just seem to jump off the page. I hope you are staying safe and warm and enjoying your day off. My kids also had a snow day today. Wish my work would have given a snow day as well. :)

Yay for snow days! Yay for coloring! Two things I love! Your coloring is amazing! Such beautiful blending! I can't wait to see it made into a card! I'm so glad you had a fun snow day and were able to play inside and color! It just doesn't get much better than that! :) ((Hugs))

That is so cute!! Sorry I haven't been responding to your posts. I've enjoyed each one that you have shared. We had the perfect Christmas in San Diego, and then came home to a flooded house. Fortunately, we had neighbors that came in and found it, so we had a clean up company in and they were on their 3rd day of clean-up by the time we got home. It's been interesting camping out in our house. We do have use of most of the appliances, except the dishwasher. I sure miss it. and doing dishes in the bathroom is not fun. So please keep your posts coming. I love them all and get such great ideas.

Your coloring looks wonderful! I'm a bit envious - I need to take a class perhaps . . .
What a sweet image you chose! I love how 3D the string of hearts look!

You are AWESOME! I am soooo glad you took some time to join in the Coloring Challenge! Isn't is freeing to just color knowing that at the end of your coloring that's really all it's about. No pressure to make a card or project. Just coloring for coloring's sake! Your image is adorable and you've done a fantastic job with your coloring! I look forward to seeing more posts during the challenge and don't worry if you can't do it every day!

Hugs,
Barb:)

Cheering and applauding your colouring, Jeanne; your little girl is absolutely adorable! I'm so impressed with your shading, especially her hair..and those hearts? Oh my! Consider mine captured! I went over to Barb's blog and WOW! I can see why she inspires you; talk about talent (which you have oodles of too, by the way *grin*)! The way she embraces colouring so fully: inspiring! And her sharing news of the new colouring books to be released: Yayyyy! I'm going to treat myself; perhaps I'll find a current one on sale. Eyes opened! She's also one of a few people I've read about who are enrolled in the Kit and Clowder classes...tempting to sign up! Perhaps, one of these days, I will, because from what I've seen of the 'students' work, the results are impressive! I have a few hours of chores to tend to, and after that, crafting time! Perhaps I'll colour while we watch Super Bowl. I'm not a huge football fan, and I do prefer CFL to NFL but...the commercials are always fun! Wishing you a marvelous Sunday; hope you have some crafting/colouring time scheduled for your day, too!

Your coloring talent is fabulous, Jeanne! I'm glad to see that you are being motivated by Kathy's challenge to color, even if it's just a little bit some days! Please don't let these pretty colored "toppers" build up. Take a few minutes once a week to make them into cards or before you know it, months and years will go by and your unfinished work will start closing in on you, which will inhibit your creativity. Ask me how I know! Hugs, Darnell
